MUMBAI :/- Senior journalist Late Atmaram More Memorial Inter Hospital T-20 Cricket Tournament by Atmaram More Foundation Mahesh Sangar and Kalpesh Bhosale provided excellent support to the captaincy of all-rounder Ankush Jadhav, Kasturba Hospital ended the challenge of the strong Seven Hills Hospital by 4 wickets and entered the quarterfinals. Despite the efforts of all-rounder captain Dr. Harshad Jadhav, wicketkeeper Dr. Ibrahim Sheikh, Swapnil Shinde, Amol Toraskar, Sushant Gurav, Dr. Manoj Yadav, Dr. Pranav Shukla, the Seven Hills Hospital team had to lose.

In the tournament jointly organized by Ideal Sports Academy and Life Insurance Corporation of India, Kasturba Hospital won the toss and put Seven Hills Hospital to bat first. In the third over, medium pacer Rohan Christian took 3 wickets for 9 runs to reduce Seven Hills to 9 for 3. Then, Dr. Ibrahim Sheikh (25 runs in 23 balls) and Sushant Gurav (21 runs in 20 balls) batted well, helping Seven Hills Hospital reach 106 for 9 in their limited 20 overs. Spinners Ankush Jadhav, Mahesh Sangar, and Mangesh Aage took two wickets each.

Chasing the winning target, Dr. Harshad Jadhav’s accurate medium pace bowler caught Bharvansh opener Rohan Jadhav on the very first ball before Kasturba Hospital could open its account. But Mahesh Sangar (30 runs in 24 balls) and Kalpesh Bhosale (32 runs in 31 balls) put on a 70-run partnership for the second wicket to help Kasturba Hospital recover. Then, left-arm spinner Swapnil Shinde (3 wickets in 20 balls) and Dr. Manoj Yadav (1 wicket for 12 runs) tried to turn the match around by making it 93 for 6 in the 14th over. But captain Ankush Jadhav (12 runs in 6 balls) batted aggressively and sealed the victory for Kasturba Hospital with a score of 107 for 6 in 15.3 overs. Mahesh Sangar was awarded the Man of the Match and Swapnil Shinde was awarded the Best Player award in the presence of cricketers Dr. Harshad Jadhav, Chandrakant Karangutkar, Pradeep Kshirsagar and Shiv Chhatrapati Award winner Leeladhar Chavan.
