Apart from this, the story of the film Ground Zero is based on Kashmir and it has been completely shot there. Emraan Hashmi has played the role of BSF Commandant Narendra Nath Dhar Dubey in the film, who led the operation that killed Ghazi Baba. This mission is recorded as the best operation of BSF in the last 50 years. Ground Zero is based on a true incident, which brings to the audience a less heard but very important chapter of Indian history.

Ghazi Baba was a top commander of Jaish-e-Mohammed and deputy commander of a terrorist organization called Harkat-ul-Ansar. He is believed to be the mastermind of the attack on the Indian Parliament on 13 December 2001.

Excel Entertainment presents, Excel Entertainment Production’s next offering, produced by Ritesh Sidhwani and Farhan Akhtar. The film is directed by Tejas Devaskar. It is co-produced by Qasim Jagmagia, Vishal Ramchandani, Sandeep C Sidhwani, Arhan Bagati, Talisman Films, Abhishek Kumar and Nishikant Roy. The film is going to hit the theaters on 25 April 2025.
