CREDAI MCHI YOUTH NMR Announces Ease of Doing Redevelopment (EODR) 2.0 in Navi Mumbai & Raigad (NMR)
40+ developers and 1,500+ housing societies expected to participate in the second edition

Navi Mumbai : (RMN) CREDAI MCHI YOUTH NMR is set to host the second edition of Ease of Doing Redevelopment (EODR) 2.0 in Navi Mumbai & Raigad (NMR) on Sunday, 27th September 2026, at Hall A, CIDCO Exhibition Centre, Navi Mumbai, from 10:30 AM to 8:00 PM. The initiative was addressed by Sumit Ahluwalia, President; Vicky Thomas, Vice President; Jitesh Agrawal, Immediate Past President; Tejas Patil, Treasurer; Akash More, President Elect; Dharmin Jasani, Event Convenor; Amit Haware, Advisor; Zeeshan Naik; Arjun Thesia; and Anmol Mehta, who shared their perspectives on redevelopment and the objectives of EODR 2.0. The one-day exhibition will bring together 40+ developers from across Navi Mumbai, with more than 1,500 housing societies expected to visit from various nodes of Navi Mumbai and the wider NMR region. The initiative builds upon the participation of approximately 800–1,000 housing societies in the previous edition, while expanding developer representation to facilitate greater interaction and choice for societies.
Redevelopment represents an important opportunity for housing societies and property owners to consider the future of their existing homes and communities. However, the process also involves several stages of evaluation, consultation and collective decision-making.With transparency, awareness and collaborative redevelopment as its central theme, EODR 2.0 aims to create a platform where society representatives and property owners can gain a better understanding of redevelopment, interact directly with developers and seek guidance from relevant experts.
The exhibition will feature panel discussions and expert consultations, providing visitors with an opportunity to discuss various aspects of redevelopment and understand the considerations involved in taking the process forward.The second edition of EODR reflects the belief of CREDAI MCHI YOUTH NMR that awareness around redevelopment needs to be an ongoing process.
Housing societies do not become eligible for redevelopment at the same time. As different communities reach the relevant stage in their lifecycle, property owners require access to timely information and an understanding of the opportunities and considerations associated with redevelopment.EODR 2.0 therefore seeks to maintain this conversation year after year, helping property owners become more informed about the redevelopment process and encouraging constructive engagement between societies, developers and professionals.
Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Sumit Ahluwalia, President, CREDAI MCHI YOUTH NMR, said:“EODR 2.0 is a continuation of our endeavour to build awareness around redevelopment across Navi Mumbai and Raigad. As more societies become eligible for redevelopment every year, we believe this conversation needs to continue every year as well.”
Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Vicky Thomas, Vice President, CREDAI MCHI YOUTH NMR, said, “EODR is about bridging the information and communication gap between housing societies and developers and making their interaction more direct and constructive. EODR 1.0 demonstrated the need for such a platform, and EODR 2.0 takes it forward on a much larger scale, with 40+ developers and 1,500+ housing societies expected to participate. Informative sessions, panel discussions and expert guidance will help societies understand development models, project feasibility, commercial considerations and the redevelopment process, while also giving developers a better understanding of community requirements. Every society has a different building profile, land potential, financial considerations and resident expectations, so redevelopment cannot follow a one-size-fits-all approach. Our objective is to reduce information gaps, improve transparency in the development process and create the foundation for more meaningful society–developer engagement.”
Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Jitesh Agrawal, Immediate Past President, CREDAI MCHI YOUTH NMR, said, “EODR 2.0 represents the next phase of the redevelopment conversation, building on the experience of EODR 1.0, with 6,000–7,000 visitors expected from across NMR. It gives societies an opportunity to understand their redevelopment potential and engage with developers as Navi Mumbai enters an important phase of infrastructure-led growth. Atal Setu, Navi Mumbai International Airport and the Virar-Alibaug Multimodal Corridor are strengthening regional connectivity and opening new opportunities across the NMR. At the same time, continued urbanisation will place greater pressure on existing housing and infrastructure. Redevelopment can be an important part of this larger transformation by unlocking the potential of existing housing stock, upgrading ageing assets and creating better living environments. EODR 2.0 brings societies, developers and professionals together under one platform to support this next phase of urban growth and value creation”
Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Akash More, President Elect, CREDAI MCHI YOUTH NMR, said, Redevelopment requires a strong development ecosystem where societies, developers and professionals work together towards one objective: better outcomes for the city and its citizens. Direct interaction can make the process smoother and more transparent, while reducing dependence on unnecessary intermediaries. Societies need to clearly communicate their requirements and redevelopment expectations, developers need to assess project feasibility and execution potential, and professionals can help address the technical, legal and financial complexities involved. As the Youth Wing of CREDAI MCHI, our role is to act as facilitators and foot soldiers within this ecosystem, helping bridge gaps, solve problems and enable constructive engagement. As Navi Mumbai and Raigad enter their next phase of infrastructure and real-estate growth, it is important that existing communities are part of this transformation and that redevelopment contributes to the planned and sustainable evolution of the region.”
Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Amit Haware, Advisor, CREDAI MCHI YOUTH NMR, said, “Redevelopment is no longer a distant possibility but a growing necessity for many housing societies, particularly those built 40–50 years ago, when property values, development norms, infrastructure and residents’ aspirations were very different. Education has to be the first step, so societies understand their redevelopment potential, development options and project economics before taking a decision. EODR 1.0 helped build this awareness, with around 25 redevelopment projects launched over the past year having their beginnings in conversations through the platform. Beyond the economic activity and GDP contribution generated through redevelopment, the larger impact is on the city’s existing housing stock and the quality of life of residents. Depending on project viability and agreed terms, a resident in a 1BHK may have the opportunity to move to a 2BHK, while a 2BHK resident could potentially move to a 3BHK. EODR 2.0 will strengthen this process through knowledge sessions, expert consultations and greater access to redevelopment expertise, helping societies take informed decisions.”
With more than 40 developers participating, EODR 2.0 expands the representation of the development community across Navi Mumbai and Raigad.The increased participation is intended to provide housing societies with greater opportunities to interact with developers, understand different approaches to redevelopment and initiate meaningful conversations based on their individual requirements.
The exhibition will also provide access to expert consultations and panel discussions, allowing society representatives to explore questions and considerations that may arise during the redevelopment journey.The initiative is designed to bring the conversation closer to property owners and communities, while encouraging a more informed and collaborative approach to redevelopment.
