MUMBAI RMN.IN(E) : A thrilling day of high-stakes semi-finals, quarter-finals and knockout fixtures unfolded at the Dream Sports MSSA Inter-School Hockey Tournament yesterday, featuring dominant wins, intense penalty shootouts and standout individual performances across the Boys’ U-16 Ahmad Sailor League, Girls’ U-16 Panchgani O.B League, and Boys’ U-16 Jr. Aga Khan Knockout.

The morning began with Don Bosco H.S (Matunga) booking their place in the Boys’ U-16 Ahmad Sailor League final after a composed 2–0 win over St. Stanislaus (Bandra), courtesy of goals from Arnav Khot and Royden Koli. In the second semi-final, Dr. Antonio D’Silva H.S edged St. Lawrence (Borivali) 3–2 in a close contest, powered by goals from Sarthak Jadhav, Priyanshu Jadhav and Foaad Shaikh.

In the Girls’ U-16 Panchgani O.B League semi-finals, New Bombay City School (Ghansoli) defeated St. Teresa’s H.S 1–0 through a decisive strike from Pranika Palve. Carmel of St. Joseph followed with a strong 3–0 win against Ryan International (Sanpada), led by a brace from Tanaysha Machado.

The Boys’ U-16 Jr. Aga Khan Knockout delivered a series of high-energy fixtures. St. Stanislaus H.S opened the round with a 4–1 win over Ryan International (Sanpada), followed by a dramatic penalty shootout where St. Xavier’s H.S edged Gokuldham H.S 6–5 after a 2–2 draw. Don Bosco H.S (Borivali) secured a 3–0 victory against Ryan International (Goregaon), while St. Lawrence H.S swept Yashodham H.S 4–0. Childrens Academy added a 3–0 win over Lakshdham H.S. The quarter-finals concluded with Don Bosco (Matunga) overpowering St. Xavier’s H.S 6–0, before Dr. Antonio D’Silva sealed a narrow 1–0 win over Don Bosco (Borivali).
