Yami Gautam Dhar joins Surya Hospitals’ “The Amber Promise for Women’s Health” initiative during the launch of the Amber Wing at Santacruz Mumbai

Mumbai ( RMN.COM ) : Surya Hospitals, a beacon of excellence in healthcare services for Women and Children has today inaugurated the “Amber Wing”, a dedicated women-centric healthcare facility designed to strengthen specialised, preventive, and advanced healthcare services for women.
The inauguration ceremony was attended by actress and health awareness advocate Mrs. Yami Gautam Dhar alongside senior doctors, healthcare professionals, and leadership teams from Surya Hospitals.
Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Bhupendra S. Avasthi, Founder, Chairman & Managing Director, Surya Hospitals, said, “Women’s healthcare requires dedicated infrastructure that can address not only preventive and diagnostic needs but also specialised surgical interventions. The Amber Wing has been created as an advanced surgical centre for women, adding significant capacity to our existing unit and enabling access to specialised surgeries, critical care, and integrated treatment pathways under one roof. The Amber Wing has been conceptualised to address the growing need for integrated and specialised women’s healthcare infrastructure in India and will house:

· Plastic and Cosmetic Surgeries
· Minimally Invasive Gastrointestinal Surgeries
· State of the art Critical Care facilities
· Center of Excellence for Robotic Surgery (Coming soon)
· Preventive health screening programmes for women
The Amber Wing was inaugurated by actor Mrs. Yami Gautam Dhar said, “Women’s health often takes a backseat as many women prioritise the well-being of their families over their own. Dedicated healthcare initiatives such as the Amber Wing are important in encouraging timely consultations, regular screenings, greater awareness around preventive care along with specialised surgical treatment when needed. As part of the launch, Surya Hospitals also introduced “The Amber Promise for Women’s Health”, a symbolic awareness-led initiative aimed at encouraging women to prioritise preventive healthcare, regular screenings, and timely medical intervention. The initiative invited guests, doctors, healthcare professionals, and attendees to share messages and commitments around women’s health and preventive care, reinforcing the need for stronger awareness and initiative-taking healthcare behaviour among women.
Mrs. Yami Gautam Dhar participated in the initiative by sharing a message encouraging women to place greater focus on preventive health and early diagnosis.
The inauguration ceremony included the unveiling of the Amber Wing, guided walkthroughs of the facility and interactions with specialists and caregivers. With the launch of the Amber Wing, Surya Hospitals aims to further strengthen its commitment towards specialised and preventive healthcare for women.
The launch comes at a time when India is witnessing growing concern around women’s health and delayed diagnosis. Healthcare experts have also repeatedly highlighted the concerning low uptake of preventive screening among women in India. Multiple studies indicate that screening rates for cervical and breast cancers remain extremely low in the country despite rising incidences of women-related cancers. Against this backdrop, Surya Hospitals stated that the Amber Wing was developed with a strong focus on early intervention, specialised women-centric healthcare, and preventive care.
