RAAGA 2026-27: Celebrating 25 Years of BAMMC – Ek Virasat, Anek Rang

Mumbai (RMN) Vivekanand Education Society College of Arts, Science and Commerce (Autonomous), Chembur, Mumbai – 400 071, witnessed a memorable celebration of 25 glorious years of the Bachelor of Arts in Multimedia and Mass Communication (BAMMC) Department through its much-awaited cultural event, RAAGA 2026-27.

Celebrating the theme “Ek Virasat, Anek Rang – 25 Varshon Ki Yatra, Anginat Yaadon Ki Dharohar,” the event beautifully brought together the department’s rich legacy, creativity, talent and countless memories created over the past 25 years. The celebration was not merely an event, but a heartfelt tribute to the journey of the BAMMC Department and the generations of students, faculty members, alumni and mentors who have contributed to its growth.

A major highlight of RAAGA was a spectacular series of performances representing 11 themes from the department’s journey between 2011 and 2025. Through music, dance, theatre and creative presentations, students recreated the essence of these themes, taking the audience on a colourful journey through the department’s cultural and creative history. Each performance reflected a different chapter of the past while showcasing the confidence, imagination and talent of the present generation.

Adding a special emotional touch to the celebration was the RAAGA Anthem, which was played during the event and brought together the spirit, identity and memories of the BAMMC family. The anthem beautifully captured the essence of RAAGA and the bond shared by students, faculty and alumni across generations.

The celebration also marked the official publication of the Goonj Magazine 2024-26, a significant milestone that captures the creative voices, achievements and experiences of the BAMMC community. Alongside the departmental magazine launch, the Goonj 26-27 poster was unveiled, adding another memorable moment to the celebration and symbolising the department’s continuing spirit of creativity, communication and innovation.

 

The event was graced by Chief Guest Miss Neshma Chemburkar, dubbing and voice-over artist, whose presence added immense value to the celebration. The event also welcomed Principal Dr. Anita Kanwar, Vice Principal Dr.Ritika Makhijani, Ms.Shamita Sharma Ken , former BAMMC Coordinator Dr. Shikha Dutta, along with other distinguished dignitaries. Their presence made the 25-year celebration even more meaningful and special for the students and faculty members.

 

RAAGA 2026-27 also received extensive support from multiple media partners who covered the celebrations and helped take the story of this milestone beyond the campus. Their presence highlighted the scale and significance of the department’s 25-year journey.

The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from the Principal, Vice Principal, teaching and non-teaching staff, alumni and students, who came together as one BAMMC family to celebrate the department’s remarkable journey. From vibrant performances and the RAAGA Anthem to the magazine launch and poster unveiling, every moment reflected the strong sense of belonging, creativity and togetherness that defines the department.

As the curtains came down on RAAGA 2026-27, the celebration left behind more than photographs and performances – it created memories that will remain an integral part of the department’s legacy. Twenty-five years may mark a milestone, but the journey of BAMMC continues, carrying forward its heritage while embracing new ideas, new voices and new possibilities.

RAAGA 2026-27 truly celebrated the spirit of “Ek Virasat, Anek Rang” – one legacy, countless colours, and innumerable memories.
